Frank On Friday – Land of the Sick

According to our national anthem, America is supposed to be the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.  There may have been something to that when Francis Scott Key wrote those words in the early 19th Century, but not anymore.  These days, America seems more like the land of the sick and the home of the scared.  The ongoing battle over the replacement of Obamacare is just the latest proof.  Think we’re not the land of the sick?  Just turn on your television.  For good or ill (mostly ill), Americans get most of their information from a screen.  Maybe I’m dating myself, but I remember television commercials for happier products.  We had Tony the Tiger, we could See the USA in our Chevrolet, Hertz put us in the driver’s seat, and blondes had more fun.  And even if they were selling some over the counter remedy for some ailment, it was enjoyable.  Speedy Alka Seltzer, and the guy who “can’t believe I ate the whole thing.”  Even the woman with Excedrin headache No. 76 was more laughs than the stuff we are getting now.  Today, every commercial break reminds us that the world is being run by drug companies and trial lawyers.  I swear, if you just arrived from another planet and turned on the television, you would be convinced that all Americans are deathly ill.  No sooner do you hear, “We’ll be right back, after this message,” and it begins.  You have commercials targeted at the several thousand individuals nationwide who unfortunately suffer from a particular cancer treatable by a drug that costs some $300,000 a year.  The message is blunt, “Don’t want to die?  Take this.”  Then the people with psoriasis come at you touting the latest nostrum that will make the plaques disappear, but it may kill you.  I guess you have to take the good with the bad.  Women appear to be afflicted with myriad maladies relating to elimination.  Some are constipated.  “Take this.”  Some are afflicted with continual diarrhea, which prevents them from enjoying any outing.  “Take this.”  According to the commercial sponsors, the remainder of the female population pee, either when they laugh, or at all other times.  “Take this and wear this.”  The most alarming indication of the health of the nation, however, is that the remaining Americans who don’t have heart disease, psoriasis, constipation, diarrhea, or incontinence, and cannot benefit from the products being advertised for those ailments, are so upset with this situation that they have become depressed.  Not to worry, we have plenty of drugs for depression, and even if you’re already taking one drug, no problem, you can add another.  Of course, because the drug companies share their control of the country with the trial lawyers, you must be treated to disclaimers about the side effects of these miracle drugs, which disclaimers take longer than the pitch for the drug itself.  “Taking this drug may cause constipation or diarrhea.”  That covers all the bases.  No problem.  See the drugs above.  Now these depression drugs are for people who are, for want of a better term, “depressed,” right?  Am I the only one who thinks that taking a drug for depression, a side effect of which is thoughts of suicide might be a bit counterproductive?  Thoughts of suicide seems to be a side effect of many of these concoctions.  There’s even a drug for arthritis that may bring on suicidal tendencies.  Imagine a poor unfortunate afflicted with both depression and arthritis, taking a double dose of suicide encouraging drugs.  I can hear the first person endorsement now, “Being clinically depressed and arthritic was a particular challenge for me.  These drugs changed all that.  Without them, I never could have tied the knot in the noose I’m thinking of using to hang myself.”  Better living through chemistry.  Then, when the drug makers are through with their pitches, on come those scavengers of the legal profession, the mass tort lawyers.  After just having been exhorted to buy Xarelto, we are told, “If you took Xarelto, you may be entitled to a cash award.”  It is the endless dance of the rulers of our society.  One sells immortality, and the other sells revenge when the afflicted realize that they are mortal after all.  So, once the commercials have convinced us that we are all sick and in need of immediate treatment, enter the government, to scare the living shit out of those of us who still are living after the drug companies and lawyers have done with us.  Democrats claim any change in Obamacare “will kill millions of people.”  Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act), was the ultimate government lie.  It was touted as affordable health “insurance.”  You could keep your current plan (LIE), your current doctor (LIE), and costs would go down by $2,500 (BIG LIE).  Costs went up every year, some doubling.  Most deductibles tripled.  So, people who are forced to buy it (and actually pay for it) can afford neither to buy nor use it.  But 20 million more people are insured because of it right?  Wrong!  Since the passage of the ACA, 22 million more Americans are enrolled in Medicaid.  Medicaid is not insurance, it is a welfare program.  Medicaid is a necessary welfare program, but as a means of providing medical care of the last resort to those without any other option, it is not and cannot be the basis of a sensible healthcare system for America.  Yet, the Democrat objection to the Republican plan to replace the ACA was based on the new law’s refusal to continue to expand the Medicaid welfare roles.  This is a cynical attempt by Democrats to force everyone into substandard Medicaid coverage, making a change to a single payer system seem an improvement.  Like in Canada, where you may wait 3 months to have your broken leg set, but you are insured.  No thank you.  And the Republicans are no better.  Their bill was drafted by insurance lobbyists.  They opposed Ted Cruz’s reasonable proposal to permit Americans to buy only the coverage they needed, because they prefer the current government “gun to your head buy everything” plan.  They make more money that way, you see.  The very idea that any government should have such power that you need its permission to buy only what you want and need should offend every American.  We deserve better, and we are in charge, not the politicians.  It’s time they realized that.

FRANK ON FRIDAY – Back to the U.S.S.R.

Well, just when we thought we were out of the bogus “Trump colluded with the Russian government” meme, the New York Times has pulled us back in.  The latest flap is over a June 9, 2016 meeting attended by Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort, with a Russian lawyer named Natalia Veselnitskaya.  The Times reported this as bombshell evidence of Trump colluding with a Russian “with ties to the Kremlin.”  Based solely on the  Times article, a guest on CNN concluded, “This looks more and more like treason.” (Don’t you just love a fair trial?)  Then, a liberal Congressman passed judgment, “Working with a foreign adversary to beat your opponent?  If true, this is a betrayal of our country we have never seen before in politics.”  Actually, we have seen such a thing in politics.  In 1983, Democrat Ted Kennedy offered to work with the head of the KGB to prevent Ronald Reagan’s re-election.  But I digress.  Far from being a smoking gun, the Trump, Jr. meeting is, instead, a steaming cowpie.  Now for the facts.  The story is that Donald, Jr. got a message to the effect that a Russian lawyer had compromising information about Hillary Clinton, more specifically, Hillary’s dealings with Russia.  Junior agreed to see the unnamed lawyer.  When Veselnitskaya showed up, she had no information about Hillary, but wanted to talk about a law that resulted in prohibiting the adoption of Russian children.  The meeting ended.  End of story.  But not for the fake news media.  Veselnitskaya has “ties to the Kremlin.”  What are these ties, you might well ask, especially as Ms. Veselnitskaya has told NBC News no less (and there is no less), that she has no ties to the Russian government.  As best I can tell, the “Kremlin ties” consist of the claim that Ms. Veselnitskaya’s husband “once was a Deputy Transportation Minister for the Moscow region.”  That’s it.  Now, I once was a Deputy Attorney General of New Jersey, and that former job has not resulted in me or my wife having any ties to the State government, but that’s the story.  I guess if your husband once worked on the schedules for the trolley cars that pass by the Kremlin, that means you have ties to the Kremlin.  But exactly who is lawyer Veselnitskaya, and where did she come from?  Here’s where the plot thickens.  According to Reince Priebus, the meeting with the Russian lawyer may have been engineered by an associate of Fusion GPS, the strategic intelligence firm behind a completely false intelligence dossier, written by the KGB, (there’s that KGB again), that suggested Russian officials possess materials that could be used to blackmail President Trump.  After Trump was nominated, Democratic financial supporters of Hillary Clinton paid Fusion for its anti-Trump research.  In the summer of 2016, GPS hired former British intelligence agent, Christopher Steele, to help their work.  That led Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley to ask the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate Fusion GPS.  Senator Grassley wrote, “Fusion GPS is the company behind the creation of the unsubstantiated dossier alleging a conspiracy between President Trump and Russia.,”  “It is highly troubling that Fusion GPS appears to have been working with someone with ties to Russian intelligence – let alone someone alleged to have conducted political disinformation campaigns– as part of a pro-Russia lobbying effort while also simultaneously overseeing the creation of the Trump-Russia dossier.”  Lawyer  Veselnitskaya has an admitted connection to Fusion.  The time line is very important here, because the only way the Donald, Jr./ Russian lawyer meeting becomes suspicious is if you already have concluded that Trump is guilty of collusion, without seeing any evidence.  Remember the date of the meeting?  June 9, 2016.  Consider this.  In June of 2016, there was no indication that the Russians were making any efforts to interfere with our election.  Trump had no warning to beware of Russians bearing gifts.  Therefore, if the Trump campaign wasn’t colluding with Russia, there would be no reason to avoid meeting with anyone with a Russian surname in order to avoid the appearance of collusion which didn’t exist.  But what else was going on in June of 2016?  As reported in the March 17, 2017 edition of Frank on Friday, in June 2016, the Obama Administration sought, and was denied, a FISA Court warrant permitting wiretaps of Donald Trump.  They did get a warrant in October.  So try this one on for size.  Trump is nominated, and Hillary buys the Trump dossier information from Fusion.  Now that the Democrats have retained the services of Fusion, they send lawyer Veselnitskaya to meet with Donald, Jr., she tells Junior nothing of value, and then the fact of the meeting is leaked to create a false Trump/Russia collusion story, permitting the Democrats to wiretap the Trump campaign.  In this scenario, Hillary’s henchpersons created the original fake Russian collusion news, gave it to the Obama Justice Dept., which used it to spy on the Republicans, and fueled the continual fake news being peddled for truth by the fake news media.  That’s not so farfetched.  The truth is that there was massive collusion between American political figures and Russia.  The problem for the fake news media is that it all concerns Democrats.  Russian energy company Uranium One gave the Clinton Foundation $35 million, and got the rights to 20% of U.S. uranium reserves, courtesy of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  Hillary’s close campaign associate John Podesta served on the Board of Directors of, and held 75,000 shares of stock, in another Russian energy company, connected to Vladimir Putin.  That’s real evidence of ties to and collusion with Russia. And there is real evidence of collision with a foreign government during the campaign.  Hillary Clinton’s staffers met with Ukranian government officials to get derogatory material on Donald Trump.  The fake news media isn’t outraged by that.  Instead, they are outraged by a meeting with someone who had no proven tie to the Russian government, at a time when there was no reason to be wary of meeting with someone with a Russian name, who had no information relevant to the campaign.  Smoking gun?  No.  Steaming turd.

FRANK ON FRIDAY – Not Presidential?

After a CNN supervising producer was caught admitting that CNN knows the Trump/Russia collusion story is “bullshit,” but management keeps pushing it anyway, the media needed a new line of attack on President Trump.  Enter the Joe Scarborough/ Mika Brzezinski flap.  These two apparently have a morning show on MSNBC.  Joe once was a conservative Republican Congressman from the Florida pan-handle, also known as the Red-Neck Riviera.  How he wound up on leftist whacko MSNBC is unclear.  Mika’s claim to fame is that her father was the National Security Advisor for Jimmy Carter.  Joe claims that he and Mika were friends of Donald Trump for more than 10 years.  When they had candidate Trump on their show they got along with Trump, then their attitude changed.  How and why it changed is a bit murky if you rely on Joe and Mika’s explanation.  Initially they liked Trump, but changed their minds because of the Muslim ban (which never existed).  Their timeline is suspect.  Joe says he decided in 2015 he could never vote for Trump.  Mika says she questioned Trump’s sanity during the campaign.  Keep in mind, these are Trump’s “friends.”  After Trump was elected, Joe and Mika were Trump’s guests at Mar a Lago.  Joe claims he changed his mind over “the race stuff,” citing Trump’s attacks on the Khan family, who lost a son in Iraq, and Judge Gonzalo Curiel.  Ah, but Joe, those things happened before the election.  No matter.  Perhaps Joe and Mika turned on Trump to cater to MSNBC’s leftist nut case viewers.  Since the election, Joe and Mika have called Trump a jackass, a schmuck (for those unfamiliar with Yiddish, that’s an unusually large penis); with a screw loose; who looks like a thug and a goon; who is lying to you, whose presidency is rotten to the core and right to the top; and who is unfit mentally.  Joe called Trump the “greatest liar that’s ever sat in the White House.” “He lies every day.  A lot of the times he lies every minute.  He forgets the lie he told five minutes ago.” Remember, this was Trump’s “friend.”  Even lying Congressmen don’t use the “L” word towards one another, but Joe found it proper to use it towards the President.  So, Trump tweets some negative stuff about the Joe and Mika show and about Mika’s face (have you seen it?), and the media is off on the new anti-Trump meme.  He’s not presidential.  His comments were not respectful and were beneath the dignity of the presidency.  Now, there’s even a plan to get doctors to declare Trump unfit to serve as president.  Are you kidding me?  “Beneath the dignity” from a media that, after declaring Il Duce Obama beyond any criticism for 8 years, has rejected any notion of respect, dignity or decorum when it comes to its coverage of President Trump?  The media has declared open season of Trump, and has badgered, insulted and smeared him at every opportunity.  Their main complaint?  Trump refuses to be a willing target, a tackling dummy, who will take every low blow with a smile.  When you hit Trump, you don’t get a Ronald Reagan aw shucks, “there you go again,” you get an immediate smack in the chops.  And because Trump refuses to simply take it, they have decided he must be crazy.  Why?  Other presidents didn’t act like Trump.  Oh really?  First of all, other presidents haven’t been treated like Trump.  The media never laid a glove on Obama; didn’t call him a liar, although he lied constantly.  And the times have changed.  Reporters never mentioned JFK’s affair with an East German spy, or the sneaking of secretaries, code-named “Fiddle” and “Faddle,” into the White House after hours.  Today, the media is simply out to get Trump, so anything goes.  Moreover, if you think no president ever criticized the press or made nasty comments before Trump, you are wrong.  Thomas Jefferson wrote, “Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper.  Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle.” (Fake news, huh Tom?)  Theodore Roosevelt said, “[President]McKinley has a chocolate eclair backbone.”  Harry Truman compared the press to prostitutes, saying, “Presidents and the members of their Cabinets and their staff members have been slandered and misrepresented since George Washington.”   Truman also attacked a Washington Post music critic who insulted his daughter Margaret, threatening to punch him in the nose and kick him in the testicles. (was that presidential?)  Lyndon Johnson said, “Jerry Ford is so dumb that he can’t fart and chew gum at the same time.”  After hearing a speech by Richard Nixon, LBJ said, “I may not know much, but I know chicken shit from chicken salad.” (the Republic survived)  George W. Bush was overheard calling a New York Times reporter “a major league asshole.” (this comment did not inspire violence against reporters)  So Donald Trump is unpresidential?  Really?  Unconventional?  Definitely, that’s why he was elected.   Confrontational?  Sure, we didn’t want another good loser.  Ungentlemanly?  Okay, but the media reaps what it sows.  The media and the entertainment industry, all dead-set against Trump’s supposed lack of dignity and decorum, are responsible for creating a culture completely devoid of any dignity or decorum.  Their world respects no filter for profanity, violence, or propriety, therefore they have no standing to decry a lack of decorum; by anybody.  The Joe and Mika flap is just the next convenient excuse for bashing Trump.  In truth, this latest Twitter feud is nothing new.  There was an almost identical Twitter war in 2016, in which Scarborough responded to a negative Trump tweet, “You’re acting like a bush-league loser, you’re acting like a racist, you’re acting like a bigot.”  It wasn’t big news then, because the “experts” said Trump couldn’t win.  And therein lies the difference.  Joe and Mika turned on Trump only because he did win.  No longer a side-show, Trump became the enemy of MSNBC.  In February 2017, Mika let some of the truth slip out noting, “Trump thinks he can control exactly what people think, but that’s our job.”  Joe and Mika said they wanted to give Trump a chance, but by February 15, 2017 concluded, “Right now, we consider this country to be in a state of crisis, because of some very disturbing decisions he has made.”  At that time, Trump had been president for 25 days.  Some chance.  So, no, Trump isn’t guilty of conduct unbecoming a president, the media is guilty of conduct unbecoming of journalists.

FRANK ON FRIDAY – Don’t Go Changin’

In the wake of the latest Democrat losses in special elections, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has come under fire from members of her own Party, who are suggesting that it may be time for Pelosi to leave her leadership position to make way for a new generation of Democrat leaders.  To recap, last week, Democrats lost the special elections in South Carolina and Georgia.  The Georgia 6th District election was targeted by Democrats as a race which would expose President Trump’s unpopularity, signalling a 2018 wave election putting Democrats back in power in the Congress.  (Sounds crazy right?)  The “logic” was that Trump carried this district by only 1 1/2%  in November, so the Dems could win a district controlled by Republicans for 38 years, by pouring almost $30 million into the campaign of a 30 year old Democrat candidate who didn’t even live in the district. (Sounds crazy right?)  The Democrats staked everything on Georgia 6.  It didn’t work.  The Republican won by over 4%, and some Democrats called for Nancy Pelosi to be replaced.  To these disgruntled Democrats I say (with apologies to Billy Joel) “Don’t go changin’ to try to dump her, we love you just the way you are.”  We really love the current Democrat leadership.  These are the people who, with a big assist from Il Duce Barack Obama, have lost 11 Senate seats, 62 House seats, 12 governorships, and 1042 State offices nationwide.  Why change that?  And it’s not a result of Democrats being outmaneuvered by Republicans.  Hell, most of the time, Republicans can’t even get out of their own way.  No, Democrats are beating themselves by leaning to the extreme Left, and championing the interests of illegal aliens over those of American citizens.  Think I’m wrong?  Ask Hillary Clinton.  Last year, she decided she didn’t need to worry about the votes of working people in the Midwest.  As a result, Donald Trump is our President.  And I, for one, cannot think of a better shining light of galloping Progressivism, to be the face of the Democrat Party than Nancy Pelosi.  Nancy Pelosi, that visionary with great respect for the two-Party system; devoted to the spirit of bipartisanship.  Just listen to Nancy’s wisdom, in her own words.  “The word ‘campaign’ is a war term.  So when you go into a campaign you just prepare to go to war.  If you think this is an exercise in civic activity…then you are going to be surprised.”  She’s dedicated to fairness.  In the same interview in 2014 Nancy said, “Democrats are not fearmongers,” but “Civilization as we know it today is doomed if the Republicans retake the Senate.”  Recently, on the Republican healthcare bill, “We do know that many more people, hundreds of thousands of people, will die if this bill passes.”  Nancy has great respect for some Presidents (if they’re named Obama):  “He [Obama] has been…open, practically apolitical, certainly nonpartisan, in terms of welcoming every idea and solution.”  “I don’t think [Obama’s] Ever Done Anything For Political Reasons” (Yeah, right!)  But Nancy doesn’t respect all Presidents.  “Why should we put a plan out?  Our plan is to stop him.  He must be stopped.”  Was she talking about Trump?  No, that was George W. Bush.  But she doesn’t like Trump either, she said would eagerly back legislation requiring President Donald Trump to take a mental exam.  And we can’t do without Nancy Pelosi’s economic expertise.  After all, it was Nancy who warned us that “Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package, 500 million Americans lose their jobs.”  What about our $20 trillion debt?  “You cannot cut your way to deficit reduction.” “It’s almost a false argument to say we have a spending problem.”  Nancy has a novel view of economics, “Think of an economy where people could be an artist or a photographer or a writer without worrying about keeping their day job in order to have health insurance.”  And that makes perfect sense, because as Nancy explained, “Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program.”  Yes, Nancy Pelosi is up on all the issues.  Healthcare?  When asked what part of the Constitution permitted national healthcare, she said, “Are you serious? Are you serious?”  Then famously, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”  As insurance rates soared, Nancy said, “ObamaCare Is Lowering Costs And The Deficit.”  In 2012, Nancy proclaimed both that, “ObamaCare Will Lower Everyone’s Rates” and “I Don’t Remember Saying ObamaCare Would Lower Everyone’s Premiums.” (Right, she said “rates”)  Immigration?  “We cannot have deportation without representation.”  “We are all Americans — north and south in this hemisphere.”  “We have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities.  Stock market profits, taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as ‘Americans.'” (I bet Americans would like to have it too)  Energy?  “I believe in cheap natural gas as an alternative to fossil fuels, it’s cheap, abundant and clean compared to fossil fuels.”  You can’t blame Nancy for this one, I always thought all the gas came from the fossils in Congress.  The Second Amendment?  “If I had my way, sporting guns would be strictly regulated, the rest would be confiscated.”  Foreign policy?  “You know, as many of the Republicans are using Israel as an excuse, what they really want are tax cuts for the wealthy.”  Huh?  Agriculture?  “As many of you know, I come from San Francisco.  We don’t have a lot of farms there.  Well, we do have one—it’s a mushroom farm, so you know what that means.”  She must be sampling the crops.  Yes, Nancy Pelosi is in touch.  She even acknowledges the recent Democrat losses, “We’re sad about some of the losses of members of great seniority and distinction in the Congress, and some very new members, who will no longer be serving with us.”  That’s touching.  So, Democrats, don’t go changin’.  We love you just the way you are – losers.

FRANK ON FRIDAY – Incivility

We hear lots of talk about the civil society.  The term “civil” denotes conduct which is polite and orderly.  In essence, it is what is expected of a citizen of a nation which operates in accordance with law and social convention.  It’s really nothing new.  It all comes from the Golden Rule, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”  There was a time when schools taught students what was expected of a good citizen.  They called it Civics, and it wasn’t an American invention.  The teaching of Civics dates back to the earliest theories of civics by Confucius in ancient China and by Plato in ancient Greece.  These traditions in the East and the West imparted concepts of citizens’ rights and the application of justice.  In the United States, the rationale for civics education is the promotion of democratic values to impact people´s political perceptions, to encourage political participation, and to foster the principles enshrined in the Constitution, such as liberty, freedom of speech, and civil rights.  We don’t teach “Civics” anymore.  All 50 states have social studies standards which include civics and government.  That’s great.  One question, however, is why it doesn’t work.  Why don’t the schools turn out young citizens who are imbued with an understanding and love of our founding freedoms, and who are motivated to make informed choices?  The answer to this question lies in the curriculum.  Instead of Civics or History, we teach “social studies.”  As a result, students don’t learn the truth about about either subject.  Although we live in the greatest information age in history, people know less than ever before.  All of us have smart phones that can access the internet from anywhere to find out virtually anything.  But too many young people use the internet only to find the nearest Starbucks location, or what some Kardashian did yesterday.  Despite having almost unlimited information, the Age of Information has become an Age of Ignorance.  As for most things, Thomas Jefferson said it best, “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.”  The more important question that arises from the failure of Civics education is, why don’t Democrats, and more alarmingly, Democrat elected officials, recognize a duty to practice civility?  They clearly know what it is.  They never tire of lecturing Republicans about their “tone.”  They never tire of warning that the expression of conservative opinions might incite some right-wing extremist to violence.  Now, such a thing never has happened, but they keep warning us anyway.  On the other hand, being afflicted with a mental disorder that compels them to believe everything they support is good, while any differing opinion is evil, they perceive no need to follow their own advice.  They demonize everything said and done by Donald Trump.  They say Trump is not the President, his presidency is invalid, and they seek to hound him from office.  They criticize the Senate’s Obamacare replacement for being drawn up in secret (just like they did in 2009-2010), yet they won’t lift a finger to participate in the process, and won’t contribute one vote to it, or to any other Republican proposal.  It’s open season on Trump for these people.  Democrats are the Resistance, and anything goes.  Civility?  We don’t need no stinkin’ civility.  Remember, it’s a mental disorder.  In 1992, the Clinton campaign saw itself as the insurgents.  Politics was war.  They even set up their famous “War Room” to destroy the Republicans.  The “tone” of the term “War Room” apparently wasn’t a problem.  They just had “sharp elbows.”  Democrats didn’t perceive an alarming “tone” when Kathy Griffin exhibited the President’s decapitated bloody head, or when New York’s Shakespeare in the Park, cast a Trump lookalike as Julius Caesar, being stabbed to death.  And then, a wild-eyed extreme leftist Bernie Sanders supporter targeted Republican Congressmen for assassination.  Armed with a list of six Freedom Caucus members he slated for death, a pistol and a semi-automatic rifle, he shot five people at a Republican baseball practice, for a charity game to benefit needy children.  He was motivated to kill Republicans because elected Democrats and the media all told him Republicans were evil.  Simply put, the “tone” of the constant drum-beat of the Left, caused this whacko to commit violence; to advocate government by assassination, instead of a civil government.  In the aftermath of the shootings, there were calls for unity.  I guess the Democrats must have learned from this tragedy and now plan to tone down their “tone,” right?  Wrong!  Democrats are angrier than ever.  While Congressman Scalise lay in the hospital in critical condition, MSNBC’s Joy Ann Reid attacked him, citing the Congressman’s positions on Obamacare and gay marriage as among the concerning “moral” issues she felt couldn’t be overlooked.  In other words, Scalise disagreed with her, so he deserved what he got.  Steve Pelly of CBS said, “to some degree,” Steve Scalise’s near death and his continued hospitalization are his, his party’s, and Donald Trump’s fault.  Submit or die, huh, Steve?  A New Jersey Democrat Party campaign strategist,’ created new Twitter hashtags, #HuntRepublicans and #HuntRepublicanCongressmen.  The strategist wrote, “We are in a war with selfish, foolish & narcissistic rich people.  Why is it a shock when things turn violent?”  He added, “James Hodgkinson is a citizen availing himself of his Second Amendment remedies.”  Nice “tone” pal.  Then there was Senator Elizabeth Warren.  Fauxcahontas promised President Trump, “you ain’t seen nasty yet.”  Trust me Liz, we’ve seen you, so we’ve seen all the nasty we’ll ever need to look at.  Mentally deranged Democrats, hear this!  You all need to look in the mirror.  Republican’s aren’t shouting down Democrat Congressmen at town hall meetings. Republicans didn’t block roads to stop your rallies; and didn’t try to pull Hillary off the stage while she was speaking.  No Republican is stopping liberals from speaking on college campuses.  No Republican is rioting in the streets wearing masks, and throwing bricks through windows.  No Republican is advocating violence against any Democrat.  That’s you guys.  Hereinafter watch your “tone.”
