The other day, I was rereading an old book, Only Yesterday, by Frederick Lewis Allen. It’s a history of America in the decade after World War One. French journalist Alphonse Karr popularized the saying, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” Allen’s description of events 100 years in our past proved this point. One chapter of the book recounted the Red Scare. The 1917 Bolshevik revolution in Russia sparked Leftist uprisings in many nations. America was no exception. Rightly or wrongly, American authorities saw the threat of communist revolution in the actions of organized labor. General strikes were common. One labor union, the International Workers of the World (IWW) practiced “revolutionary industrial unionism,” and had ties to socialist and anarchist labor movements. There were bombing campaigns directed by anarchist groups at political and business leaders. Bombs were sent to elected officials, and a wagon filled with explosives was detonated on Wall Street, killing 30 people. Woodrow Wilson’s Attorney General, A. Mitchell Palmer, struck back by ordering the mass arrests of suspected leftists, mostly Italian and Eastern European immigrant anarchists and communists, many of whom were summarily deported. In 1920, John Dewey, the first president of the National Education Association, was regarded by some as the most dangerous man in American education, due to his socialist philosophy. Dewey wanted to fundamentally transform America into a socialist society. Sound familiar? Dewey saw education as the means of transformation. This from the man now regarded as the Father of American education, “You can’t make socialists out of individualists. Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society, which is coming, where everyone is interdependent.” Dewey hated religion, and he started kindergartens, not to advance early education, but to separate kids from the values of their parents at a younger age. Dewey’s policies were adopted, and 100 years later, we’ve produced generations of products of public education who are unable to think for themselves. So, Marxists in the streets doing violence, labor unions, think the NEA, supporting the Marxists and threatening to strike, and young people unable to think for themselves. The more things change, the more they stay the same. There is one difference. In the 1920 Red Scare, the American establishment considered socialists and anarchists threats to be hunted down and eliminated. A hundred years later, in 2020, we have a new Red Scare. Today, the Reds we feared in 1920 are the establishment, and those of us who dare to oppose them are now the threats to be eliminated. In other words, today the Reds really are doing the scaring. The quote “Accuse the other side of that which you are guilty,” has been attributed to Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, and Joseph Goebbels. Take your pick. Democrats have mastered this technique. In 2016, they accused Trump of colluding with Russians, while they paid Christopher Steele to collude with Russians. They claimed Trump wouldn’t accept the result of the election, while at the same time using the FBI and CIA to stage a coup to overturn the result of the election. They’re still singing that song. Just last week, Il Duce Obama, the man who authorized the 2016 coup, said his greatest fear is that Trump won’t accept the result of the 2020 election. Translation – Democrats are afraid they may lose again. The more things change, the more they stay the same. In 1920, foreign born anarchists conducted violent protests, and set off explosives. In 2020, home grown anarchists, indoctrinated according to the principles of John Dewey, and actively supported by the Democrats, stage riots and set off explosives. Fascism developed in the 1920’s. Democrats like to call Republicans Fascists. Fascist doctrine is, “All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the State.” Individual opinion and dissent is not tolerated. Sounds a lot like today’s Democrats to me. In 2020, only the opinions of the Left are acceptable, and dissenters are denounced or cancelled. Accuse the other side of that which you are guilty. Here’s Democrat James Clyburn, “I feel very strongly that this man [Trump] has taken on strong-arm tactics. And I feel very strongly that he is Mussolini, and Putin is Hitler.” Stressing the importance of fair elections, Clyburn continued, “I believe that he plans to install himself in some kind of emergency way to continue to hold on to office, and that is why the American people had better wake up.” This while Democrats plan to steal the election with universal mail ballots. And Hitler, huh? America awake? “Germany Awake” was one of Adolf Hitler’s favorite sayings. Nancy Pelosi calls the federal agents assigned to protect besieged courthouses “stormtroopers.” The detestable Chuck Schumer says using federal agents in Oregon is “so un-American, so in keeping with third-world countries and dictatorships.” This while the rioters they support storm through the streets, attacking all who dare dissent. So, who’s un-American? A socialist principle is, “Never let up on the pressure.” Not even at a funeral, as the funeral of Congressman John Lewis attests. Il Duce Obama took the opportunity to bash the President. “George Wallace may be gone, but we can witness our federal government sending federal agents to use tear gas against peaceful protestors.” Wallace was a Democrat who tried to keep black students from going to school. This while Democrats are trying to keep all students from going to school. The Duce continued, “If all this takes eliminating the filibuster, another Jim Crow relic, in order to secure the God-given rights of every American, then that’s what we should do.” The filibuster predates Jim Crow laws, which were enacted by Democrats, who ran the Senate for 100 years. More Duce, “Bull Connor may be gone, but today we witness with our own eyes police officers kneeling on the necks of Black Americans.” After George Floyd, who are the others? Anyhow, Bull Connor was an Alabama Democrat who used dogs and fire hoses against protestors who simply wanted human dignity and basic civil rights. Obama could be elected President only because Bull Connor’s world no longer exists. Obama is an insufferable demagogue. So let’s compare
Bull Connor –
Bullshitter –
To date, no Democrat has denounced the mob violence of today’s Reds. By giving aid and comfort to Marxist revolutionaries, the Democrats are playing with fire. To quote Karl Marx, the patron saint of Black Lives Matter and Antifa, “History repeats itself, first as tragedy, then as farce.” So to Democrats I say, come November, May The Farce Be With You.
The City of Portland, Oregon is under siege. Since late May, we have seen continued violence in many of our cities, while Democrat elected officials have refused to enforce the law. There’ve been scores of murders, many of the victims children. The duty to protect public safety, resides in the State governments. The States should be enforcing the law in these cities, and it is only law enforcement, which which separates us from Third World nations. Without the threat of swift and certain punishment, crime increases. Don’t doubt me. I practice criminal law. Every time a person is sentenced, the need to deter him and others is one of the reasons for the sentence. When you don’t arrest, prosecute, convict and sentence for crime, what you get is more crime. This was all planned. George Soros spent millions of dollars to elect hand-selected Prosecutors in big cities, like Philadelphia, Chicago and St. Louis. Then, liberal States did away with cash bail. The result, a revolving door, with criminals let loose to commit more crimes, and Prosecutors who refuse to prosecute rioters, preferring to prosecute cops and citizens who dare to defend themselves. Not coincidentally, this ties in with the stated goals of Antifa and Black Lives Matter; destroy the State, police, military and corporations; live in a world without prisons and punishment; there will be no law to enforce, no money to protect. Portland simply got there faster than other cities. For more more than 55 days, Portland has experienced nightly rebellion. Revolutionaries have besieged the city, turning it into a wasteland. State and local officials have ordered law enforcement to stand down, and are encouraging the mob violence. The reason? There’s an election coming up, and Donald Trump dared to send federal law enforcement officers to Portland to protect federal property. With the whole city in insurrection, the President could lawfully send in federal troops, as 12 other presidents before him have done. He hasn’t. The federal officers are simply protecting the federal courthouse complex, which has been attacked by rioters every night for more than 55 days. It put me in mind of an old Charlton Heston movie, 55 Days at Peking, about the 1900 Boxer Rebellion. A Chinese secret society, known as the Righteous and Harmonious Fists (the Boxers), attempted to drive all foreigners from China. Ruled by the the Dowager Empress, Tsu Hsi, the Boxers burned churches and residences, and killed suspected foes on sight. Sound familiar? Hundreds of Chinese Christians and members of foreign legations, were besieged in Peking (Beijing) for 55 days, till an international military force freed them. The Portland siege is being conducted by the Woke community, so we could call this the Wokester Rebellion. Conducted by a secret society, the Self-righteous and Felonious Shits of Antifa and BLM, under the control of the Dowager Speaker of the House. Here’s Tsu Hsi, the Boxer Dowager Empress, and her latter day counterpart, the Dowager Speaker of the House, Nan See
Although the Wokesters assault the cops, vandalize buildings, break down fences and barricades, and try to burn the courthouse every night, Democrats, like Nan See, deny there’s any violence. It’s just a peaceful protest by mothers and veterans. And Nan See says Trump is to blame for sending “Unidentified stormtroopers. Unmarked cars. Kidnapping protesters and causing severe injuries in response to graffiti.” “First Amendment speech should never be met with one-sided violence from federal agents.” So, according to the Dowager Speaker, while you can’t yell “Fire” in a crowded theater, you can set it on fire. Numb-nuts Portland Mayor Wheeler claims, “People are being literally scooped off the street into unmarked vans, rental cars, they are being denied probable cause, they are denied due process. They don’t even know who’s pulling them into the vans.” They’ll know who they are when they get their criminal complaints and the agents appear to testify against them at trial. Oregon’s Attorney General is suing federal agents for doing their jobs. The city of Portland wants to fine the Feds for erecting barricades and fences (the only things preventing the courthouse from being burned down), because they block a bike lane and represent a hazard to the traveling public. (You can’t make this shit up). Democrats are proving that Denial is not just a river in Egypt, as they conjure a world that even George Orwell couldn’t envision. “War is Peace.” “Slavery is Freedom.” Now, Rioting is Peaceful. House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler says it never happened. “That’s a myth that’s being spread only in Washington, D.C.” Is it? Here’s the truth, pictures being worth a thousand words – The courthouse is behind the fence.
This is just the peaceful Antifa infertility dance.
Trying to set the courthouse on fire. Luckily, they’re not experienced arsonists.
These are peaceful Molotov cocktails and high capacity rifle magazines seized in Portland. I thought Democrats wanted gun control.
No violence here. Just a bonfire at a pep rally for Joseph Stalin State Teacher’s College. “Go, Commies!”
The idea that any American city would permit what is depicted above to go on for two months, to the detriment of its citizens, is disgraceful. Portland may be Woke, but it’s also severely screwed up. It’s had three Police Chiefs in four months. What does that tell you? The fact that any Federal elected official would presume to deny the ongoing mayhem and violence in Portland is downright treason. Dozens of local and federal police officers have been assaulted and injured. Three federal agents have lost their eyesight after being attacked with lasers. The Fifth Column, I mean Fourth Estate, downplays this violence, the New York Times reporting, “The police said 59 officers had been injured, including one who was hospitalized. Many of the injured officers were able to return to duty.” According to “the Old Gray Liar,” I mean Lady, “The most serious injury to a [federal] officer to date occurred when a protester wielding a two-pound sledgehammer struck an officer in the head and shoulder when the officer tried to prevent the protester from breaking down a door to the Hatfield Courthouse.” Other injuries included “broken bones, hearing damage, eye damage, a dislocated shoulder, sprains, strains, and contusions,” and “agents had been burned by fireworks and a “caustic substance” that were thrown over a fence surrounding the courthouse.” I guess Jerry Nadler doesn’t read the Times. I’m damn glad there isn’t any violence. Good news though. The violence, and the virus, both will go away after Biden is elected.
Sports used to be a refuge from everyday life. We could turn away from politics, crime, and other annoying current events, and just watch the game. How did my team do? I’m a Mets fan, so how do you think? Sports was our escape. Not anymore. With the Wuhan virus, sports became intertwined with the health emergency. All sports shut down. The questioning began. Will they play? How will they play? Where will they play? Can we attend? That was bad enough. When the Marxist revolution began, sports went under the Marxist microscope, to be evaluated for doctrinal purity. That’s what this is. The revolutionaries are engaged in their own form of ethnic cleansing. All who are found to be impure, must be destroyed. Sports teams are no exception. And so it came to pass, with millions unemployed, and mayhem in the streets, that the attention of America was drawn to a glaring injustice, the name “Washington Redskins.” Although polls found that Native Americans aren’t upset by the name, our Marxist masters decided it was racist, and demanded it be changed. The Redskins buckled, and are changing the name. No more Redskins. How about RedStars? This could be the logo
That’s a Mig-29, a model of Marxist workmanship, so it should get the Stalin Seal of Approval. It won’t end there. Give a Marxist an inch, he’ll take a mile. What about other teams with Indian names? The Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Blackhawks, and Kansas City Chiefs. Clearly equally offensive, and unacceptable. So, the Cleveland Natives. Animal names seem benign, so how about the Kansas City Sheep? If Braves is offensive, how about the Atlanta Cowards? Blackhawks can survive, if they change the Indian logo to an actual black hawk. Animals good. How about the Dallas Cowboys? In every movie, the cowboys killed the Indians. And boys? Sexist. The Dallas Ranch Workers. The Portland Trailblazers must go for the same reason. On the Oregon Trail, white settlers displaced Indians. Given recent events, how about the Portland Anarchists? Unfortunately, many team names are culturally impure, and must be changed. Some of the names are OK, because they’re animals, like Bears, Grizzlies, Wolves, Lions, Tigers, Panthers, etc. They’re approved because only rich white people can afford to go camping and on safaris, and these animals sometimes kill them. Killing white guys is good. The Colorado Avalanche is acceptable for the same reason. Avalanches kill white skiers. Some other names will pass Marxist muster because they advance progressive positions. The Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns remind us of global warming. This instills fear, which is a good thing. How about the paranormal? Orlando Magic. I’ve judged the Magic acceptable, because it describes post-virus federal budget policy. “Isn’t printing $6 trillion dollars dangerous?” “No, it’s magic.” Other names must go. Let’s start with the teams of color. Red Sox, White Sox, Reds, and Browns. Chicago White Sox is out. Just “White” alone is bad enough. Maybe just “Sox,” or Rainbow Sox, for the LGBTQers. Red Sox is not so bad on its face, and Marxists are Reds, so we’ll permit it on a probationary basis. Now, the Cincinnati Reds originally were the Redlegs. This is problematic, because legs are covered by skin, ergo – Redskin, which we already know is racist. How about a more progressive shade of red? The Cincinnati Pinkos. Perfect. The Cleveland Browns aren’t named for a color, but for their founder, Paul Brown. However, this is the truth, and truth is irrelevant. Only feelings matter to woke snowflakes. They don’t approve of Founders, and if they “feel” it could demean a person of color, it must go. Again, we might change the shade, to the Cleveland Sepias. Much better. Historical team names are particularly troublesome. The New England Patriots. No. Minutemen were military, and the Patriots worked with the slave-owning Founders, when they should have burned down Constitution Hall, Philadelphia, and all of the South. Let’s go with a safe animal name, the New England Lobsters. The Philadelphia 76ers is unacceptable for the same reason. It evokes our history. So, the Philadelphia 17ers, to celebrate the 1917 Bolshevik revolution. The New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers and Edmonton Oilers must go as anti-environmental. Jets have a large CO2 footprint. Steel making causes pollution, and oil is an evil fossil fuel. So, the New York Electric Buses, the Pittsburgh Recyclers, and the Edmonton Renewables. The Detroit Pistons and RedWings fail for the same reason. How about the Detroit Teslas and Detroit Mass Transit? Teams named for aggressive white folks also must go. Minnesota Vikings. Blonde invaders? Out. Pittsburgh Pirates, and Las Vegas Raiders. Same problem. The Raiders even have a white guy with an eye patch on their helmet. Totally unacceptable. How about, the Minnesota Appeasers, the Pittsburgh Pacifists, and the Las Vegas Antifas. This way, they can keep the “white guy with a face covering” logo.
The Houston Rockets and Astros are rejected because they remind us of the U.S. Space Program, which celebrates American achievement. That cannot stand. The Houston Cosmonauts, can play in the renamed Cosmodome. And for basketball, the Houston Starbucks. “Tuesday is latte night.” This might sound too close to the Milwaukee Bucks, but “Bucks” has to go. They may have a large deer in their logo, but once again, truth doesn’t count. “Buck” could be taken as a derisive name for an African-American man. I think they used it in Gone With the Wind, so case closed. The Milwaukee Fauns. We’re not done. Texas Rangers are cops, so definitely out. The Texas Defunders. Houston Texans, suggests State citizenship, which threatens federal supremacy. So, Houston Texicans. Two birds, one stone. San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Angels pander to religion, which is anti-Marxist. The San Diego Pederasts and the Los Angeles Atheists will do nicely. The Philadelphia Phillies is tricky. Phillies could just be short for “Philadelphia,” but it could be from the cigars. In 1910, the Bayuk brothers introduced Philadelphia Hand Made Cigars. This was shortened to “Phillies.” Tobacco’s bad for your health, and smoke damages the climate, unless it’s rising from a burning building during riot (protest). So the Philadelphia Protesters. Yankees seems acceptable on its face. The Yankees fought the Confederates. But it’s anti-Hispanic. “Yankee (Yanqui) go home!” So the New York Diversities it is. We’ll have to change some names of championship trophies too. Stanley Cup to Stalin Cup. Lombardi Trophy to Sacco and Vanzetti Trophy. There’s more, but time is short. Now, if we can just get them to stop keeping score.
As this is written, it’s Bastille Day, commemorating the 1789 storming of Paris’ Bastille Fortress by French revolutionaries. In America, our second revolution is under way, at the hands of Black Lives Matter Marxists. In 1789, the defenders of the Bastille surrendered, but the revolutionaries killed many of them, and the mob violence continued. Sound familiar? Today, although big city mayors, police departments, business leaders, all elected Democrats and, of course the media, have surrendered to the mob, the violence continues unabated. The BLM Marxists vow to transform America. Into what? They’re not telling. Somebody told Joe Biden to say the same thing last week, so he did. So far, BLM has made great strides toward transforming America from a nation of laws into an every-man-for-himself slaughterhouse. Every big city, where BLM has bullied feckless officials into painting “Black Lives Matter” on the streets, has been beset by unprecedented violence. Shootings dramatically increased. In Chicago, every weekend, scores are shot and dozens are killed. Almost every victim is black, and a shocking number of them are children, who just happened to be in the line of fire. Their black lives clearly don’t matter to Black Lives Matter, as CNN’s Don Lemon recently confirmed, telling Terry Crews, BLM is just against rare police brutality, not continual black-on-black carnage. Glad he straightened that out. Anyhow, the BLM Marxists are now in charge. I heard an imbecile athlete say, “It’s about time,” as there’s “racial discrimination like never before.” Never having to read a book makes things so much simpler. I’m currently reading Dewey Defeats Truman, by A.J. Baime. It’s about the 1948 election. It recounts southern Democrats lynching people of color, and black voter suppression, which included shooting a man who dared to vote in a Georgia primary. That was systemic racism. It no longer exists. If only the truth mattered to the revolutionaries. It doesn’t. The ignorant among us, who think BLM is just protesting police brutality, are in for a rude awakening. Though they only talk about civil rights, BLM has a list of Marxist goals. Should BLM take over America, what would it be like? Would social justice reign from sea to shining sea? Not likely. You see, civil rights is about a lot more than simply what happens during an encounter with the police. That’s a part of it, but just a small part. To educate the unwashed who are resistant to reading books or constitutions, there’s a thing called the Bill of Rights. Ratified in 1791, it includes the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution. Now, I know those of you who support BLM might wish to reject a document that was created by the evil slave owners who founded our country, and whose statues you’re busy destroying, but there are some things in the Bill of Rights that you just might want to keep, because it contains all of our civil rights. BLM are Marxists, and Marxists don’t preserve or extend civil rights, they destroy them. Just ask anyone in Hong Kong. So if you support a takeover by BLM, you should understand what you’re buying. You want the right to assemble and protest as you see fit, and to speak your mind as you see fit? Marxists don’t permit that. What about practicing your religion? Forget that. Over the weekend, many churches were burned, vandalized and desecrated. Marxists don’t permit religion. So, no 1st Amendment. You live in a dangerous neighborhood, and want to have a gun to protect your family? Marxists don’t permit that. No 2nd Amendment. Not comfortable with armed men breaking your door down to ransack your house? Marxists don’t recognize the 4th Amendment. If you’re arrested, you want a right to remain silent and protection from police coercion? Sorry. Marxists don’t have a 5th Amendment. You want a fair trial, at which you’re presumed innocent? Afraid not. Marxist countries don’t worry about such things, so no 6th Amendment. Then there’s the capitalism thing. You looking for the right to work at the job you want, to advance, and make more money? Sorry. You’ll just have to give up those things in return for guaranteed social justice. You’ll go to the school that tell you to attend, work where they tell you to work, earn what they say you can earn, and you better not complain. (See above). You’ll be just like the happy workers in the Soviet Union, who used to say, “We pretend to work, and they pretend to pay us.” Transform America, right? But at least you’ll be free from the police, the people Joe Biden just compared to armed invaders coming into your neighborhood. No more cops. “Hello, what is your 911 emergency?” What’s that? The Crips, the Bloods, or the Latin Kings are firing machine guns at your house? “No problem. We’ll send a social worker right over. Peek out the window. If they’re wearing black and gold, we’ll send a Spanish speaking social worker. If anyone gets killed, just put an orange cone next to the body, we’ll send the truck when we can. Thanks for calling the BLM States of America.” I wonder if they’ll call it that. I mean it can’t be “the United States,” because we’ll no longer be united. See, there’s another thing they don’t teach anymore. The federal government didn’t create the States, the States created the federal government. And when they did so, things like public safety, the, you should pardon the expression, police powers, were retained by the States. I suppose BLM will cancel the 10th Amendment too, but some States won’t readily surrender, so after the revolution, there will be an inevitable civil war. I’m not hoping for it, you understand, but there it is. So no United States of BLM. “America” is shaky too. Can’t have a Marxist worker’s paradise named for a white European oppressor. Amerigo was Vespucci’s first name. BLM seems to like Colin Kaepernick. How about, the BLM States of Colinica? Colinica the Beautiful?
How horrible, with racist cops,
It’s time you shared the pain,
All hail our Marxist majesties
And BLM’s our name
Colinica! Colinica!
Marx shed His grace on thee
Now we’re in charge, we’re livin’ large
Bow down on bended knee
Can’t wait to hear that before the ballgame. But I think BLM needs to change it’s logo. Painting “Black Lives Matter” on the street takes too long. Here are two proposals –
Since the media refuses to tell the truth, its job falls to us. If you don’t want to live in the country described above, you must make your friends and neighbors understand what is at stake.
FRANK ON FRIDAY – Up is Down
As the Summer of 2020 continues, we remain in a state of disorientation. I mean, if it wasn’t 90 degrees, we wouldn’t even know it was Summer. As my daughter recently put it, since the world locked down in March, we really haven’t had different months, just cold March, warmer March, and now hot March. Adding to the disorientation is the fact that America has lost its collective mind. Insanity reigns. Paddy Chayefsky’s masterpiece, Network, was written as satire, but we’re living it. I keep hearing the words of Chayefsky’s Howard Beale: “I don’t have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad – worse than bad, they’re crazy.” Amen to that. The problem lies in the fact that we no longer can even agree as to what is good and what is bad. For instance, there used to be a consensus that law enforcement was good, and law breakers were bad. Not anymore. The entire world has been turned upside down. It’s so bad, in fact, that it reminded me of a 1992 speech by Al Gore no less (and there is no less). During the 1992 campaign, Gore made his famous “up and down” speech. “Unemployment has gone up, the number of jobs has gone down. The trade deficit has gone up, personal income has gone down. The budget deficit has gone up, consumer confidence has gone down. Poverty has gone up, the number of jobs has gone down. Fear up, hope down. Everything that should be down is up, everything that should be up is down. They turned it upside down, and we’re gonna turn it right side up.” Right now, we have anarchists rioting in the streets of our cities, committing assault, theft and arson. We have avowed Marxists, who call themselves Black Lives Matter, whose stated purpose is the overthrow of our system of government. And we have State governors who back the rioters and Marxists. These same State governors ordered businesses closed, eliminating all tax revenue, and then complained to the federal government that they need money. We have teachers who refuse to teach. We have athletes who refuse to compete. And on top of all this, we have a media that keeps telling us that if we oppose a Marxist takeover of our country, we must be racist. Up is down, and down is up. Any wonder we’re disoriented? Protection of public health and safety is the duty of State governments. In March, when they were unable to perform this duty, they insisted that the federal government step in and fix the problem. It did. In June, July and August, as riots destroyed parts of major cities, perhaps permanently, some States were unable or unwilling to stop the violence. President Trump offered federal help, and they indignantly refused. Trump had to send federal law enforcement to Portland to protect the federal courthouse, which was being attacked every night by rioters. The Feds put up a fence and barriers that prevented rioters from burning down the courthouse. Did the State and local officials say, “Thank you?” Far from it. Portland cited Homeland Security for erecting a fence on city property without a permit, and obstructing a bike lane “creating a hazard to the public,” and has fined them $48,000 a day, to the tune of more than $672,000. Apparently, the city doesn’t consider nightly riots a hazard to the public. Up is down. Portland’s mayor has changed his tune, though, now conceding that torching buildings is a crime. He’s not concerned about his citizens, however. He’s worried that continued rioting will help Trump get reelected. Ah, a kernel of truth slips out. The city of Chicago is equally insane. Every week, scores of people are shot and killed. On top of that, this week, police dared to shoot back at a man who was shooting at them. Shocking. This triggered a riot, which laid waste to Chicago’s Miracle Mile shopping district, dozens of businesses looted and destroyed, while police looked on. It’s OK though, because Black Lives Matter says the looting was “reparation.” “I don’t care if somebody decides to loot a Gucci’s or a Macy’s or a Nike because that makes sure that that person eats. That makes sure that that person has clothes.” Chicago’s mayor won’t prosecute looters, but she has a “zero tolerance” policy for those who dare to violate Wuhan virus restrictions, threatening to close beaches because a group of men dared to enjoy the sunshine, lecturing, “It’s called a pandemic, people.” As she said this, 40 people were shot and 4 were killed in Chicago. There were no Covid deaths in the city that day, and only one death in all of Illinois, a woman in her 90’s. Up is down and down is up, and not only in Chicago. Millionaires and billionaires support BLM, an organization dedicated to ending capitalism. Alleged journalists support BLM and Antifa, which are dedicated to canceling first amendment rights. The first duty of government is to ensure public safety, but public officials support abolishing the police. We release criminals from jails for fear of Wuhan virus, and then threaten people with jail for not wearing masks. In New Jersey, we prosecuted and tried to imprison public officials who impeded traffic on the George Washington Bridge. Black Lives Matter blocks bridges and Interstate highways with impunity. Governmental swamp creatures, who’ve run the local, State and federal governments for decades, and who are “the system,” now decry systemic racism. Elected officials protect looters and rioters, and prosecute homeowners who defend themselves. They release criminals, and prosecute the police. You can paint “Black Lives Matter” on the blacktop in big yellow letters, but if you paint over it, making the blacktop black again, you’ll be arrested. You’re required to chant, “Black lives matter,” but you dare not say that all lives matter. You also will be immediately arrested if you dare to chalk on a sidewalk, “Unborn Black Lives Matter.” We’re told that looting and rioting is a response to unarmed black men being “hunted” by police. But that’s as crazy as all the rest. The odds of an unarmed black man being killed by the police are about 1.3 million to one. You’re much more likely to be struck by lightening, but no one’s protesting the weather. Up is down, and down is up. In their zeal to destroy Trump, the Left has turned things upside down. Hopefully, in November, we’re gonna turn it right side up.
